Meet the Ladies
I hail from the small town of Hazel Green, WI. Do I look familiar? Well…I am Marah’s younger sister! I have been working at the shop since 2008, but have been
playing dress up with Marah my whole life.
I received my bachelor’s degree in sales and marketing in 2012. When the opportunity arose to become a full time bridal stylist after graduation, there was no question it was exactly what I wanted to do. Who wouldn’t want to work with their fabulous sister and style gorgeous brides every day!
My favorite part about being a stylist at Marah’s Elegant Bridal is being able to accessorize a bride after she has said yes to the dress! I love veils and jewelry!
In my free time I enjoy running and spending time with loved ones. My claim to fame…I used to be the MEG Jewelry model!
Hi! I go by many names--Samantha, Sam, Sammy. I've been called all of them my whole life. I grew up in Barneveld, WI and still live there today. I graduated from UW-Platteville with a bachelors degree in Psychology in May 2018. I currently work full time at Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville, WI.
I have been working at Marah's since October 2018 and couldn't imagine my life not working here. I had applied through Instagram stories thinking, "I could do this, right? I've grown up watching Say Yes to the Dress". I stepped outside my comfort zone and started a few days later. It was an immediate connection and I fell in love with the shop and the ladies who work here.
I love getting to work with brides! The excitement and emotions are indescribable during appointments. Picking out dresses that make their faces light up make my job so rewarding especially when they Say YES! I love putting looks together with jewelry and veils while brides are in their perfect dress. I have learned so much from working at Marah's and can't wait to work with more lovely brides in the future!
I was born and raised right around the corner in Verona, WI. I spent many childhood afternoons having Barbie weddings on my front porch with my sister! I grew up wanting to be a teacher and a wedding planner. I went to UW-Madison, majored in elementary education, and upon graduation taught 6 years in Verona schools.
I married my high school sweetheart, Aaron, on July 31st, 2010. Finding my gorgeous dress and choosing all the special details for my wedding was such a dream, and what made it double the fun was planning my wedding at the same time my sister was planning hers! She was married three months after me. With all the wedding hoopla over, I didn’t want it to end and I was hooked on bridal! I joined Marah in November 2010, and have proudly been a bridal stylist at Elegant Bridal ever since.
After having my second son in June of 2014, I stopped teaching and have enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom during the week to my handsome little boys. I LOVE working weekends at Elegant Bridal! With being totally outnumbered by all the males in my household, it is such a treat to come to the store and style brides, moms, and maids in the perfect dresses and accessories for their big day!
My favorite part of being a stylist at Marah’s Elegant Bridal is…the rewarding feeling I get when a bride has found her dress, feels beautiful, and is just beaming with excitement as she looks at herself in the mirror.
My claim to fame: My dad, brother, sister, and I were all Badger athletes during our time at UW-Madison.
I first visited Marah’s Elegant Bridal in 2010 when my sister in law invited me along to help her find the perfect dress for her wedding. I instantly fell in love with the boutique, and couldn’t resist giving Marah a call to see if she was interested in adding one more to her team!
I graduated from Edgewood College in 2006 with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Communication Arts. I’ve been teaching in Dodgeville for the past 14 years, and met my husband when he was the Police Liaison Officer for our school district. Fun fact: we quickly figured out we both attended Ding-a-Dong Preschool in Monroe in 1987. Being a 3rd grade teacher, the wife of an officer, and a mom of 2 boys, Elegant Bridal is just what I need to be able to tap into my girly side.
My favorite part about working at Marah’s is hearing each bride tell her “story”; how she met her groom to be, the proposal, and all of the details that are coming together leading up to their big day You just can’t beat the look of pure happiness on her face!
