How it all started...
My husband Eric proposed on Labor Day Weekend 2004 and so my search for the perfect gown began! My mom, sister, and I went to several boutiques and finally ended up at this unique, eclectic boutique in Mount Horeb. It is here that I not only found my dream dress, but also my dream career. The owner was interested in selling her business and so I jumped at the opportunity and purchased Elegant Bridal in the summer of 2005.
Elegant Bridal has changed locations and focus. Originally a hidden, 2nd story vintage clothing and bridal shop, Elegant Bridal now resides at a large storefront on Main Street of Mt. Horeb with a total commitment to the bridal experience, including: bridal gowns, bridesmaids dresses, Mother-of-the-Occasion wear, and accessories, along with tuxes for the men and flowergirl dresses to complete your bridal party.
I have a background in design, studying initially in fashion design and eventually graduating with a degree in Interior Design. Owning and managing a bridal boutique has truly been the perfect mix for me: being able to live the dream of owning my own business, work in the fashion industry, and use my interior design skills to create a warm and welcoming boutique for my customers.
I have to say my favorite part over the past years of being in business is meeting and working with so many wonderful women! Your wedding gown will be the most important garment you will ever wear, and is such a significant part of how you feel on your wedding day. Weddings are filled with emotions and is one of the most cherished days in your life…I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to help so many women find “the perfect gown”.
My husband and I have three adorable and wild kids: Cal, Isla, and baby Faye! When I am not being a wife and a mommy I love to redecorate my house, go to kickboxing class, and sad to admit….watch Lifetime movies!! My claim to fame is I was voted “Best Dressed” class of Southwestern High School 1996.
